The Ladies Choice
Famous for two things, it was the first Australian record album produced by women ( Robyn Archer and Diana Manson) and it contained outrageous lyrics for the time. Released in 1977 and featuring the Archer classics Menstruation Blues, The Old Soft Screw and Dicks Don't Grow on Trees, the band features Adelaide session musicians led by piano man Peter Head.
Old Songs - New Century: the early best of Robyn Archer
"This is the first album from Adelaide artist Robyn Archer and seems bound to become a collector's item"
"It's a must not only because her original feminist lyrics are so good, but also because the music itself is first class. The combination creates an impressive professional strong gutsy sound full of wit and variety"
A compilation of the best of the first four albums - The Ladies' Choice, The Wild Girl in the Heart, A Star is Torn and Tonight Lola Blau.
