The Wild Girl in the Heart

Released in 1978, this collection comprises Archer's settings of Australian poets including Judith Rodriguez, Dorothy Hewett, Kate Jennings, Gwen Harwood, Michael Dransfield, and Hal Porter. A number of the songs have remained in Robyn's repertoire (eg Dransfield's 'Outback'), Harwood's Suburban Sonnet made it into The Pack of Women, and many consider the Dorothy Hewett 'In Moncur Street' vintage Archer.

The band includes legendary Sydney musicians:

Doug Gallacher, Tony Ansell, Ian Bloxsom, Dave Ellis, Don Reid, Don Hopkins, Jim Kelly, Graham Lowndes, Nathan Waks and the Sydney String Quartet.
